Catriona Gray, Sam Milby breakup rumors debunked by manager — Ogie Diaz

Catriona Gray and Sam Milby‘s is at least one breakup rumor that have to be crossed out for being false, according to the couple’s manager, per entertainment inside and talent manager Ogie Diaz.
According to Diaz on his vlog Showbiz Update, uploaded on Tuesday, February 6, there is no truth to rumors claiming that the beauty queen and the actor have called it quits, and that they have joined the number of celebrity couples who would not be celebrating Valentine’s Day together.
The speculations about their breakup allegedly stemmed from a recent incident wherein Gray was seen not wearing her engagement ring. However, according to Diaz, Gray and Milby are still very much together and in-love.
“Hindi ako nanaginip, talagang nagtanong ako. And I quote the manager of Catriona and Sam Milby, si Erickson Raymundo, dahil may nagtanong rin daw sa kanya non. Sabi ni Erickson, hindi niya alam if may event na hindi naisuot ni Catriona ‘yung engagement ring,” Diaz said.
(I didn’t dream about it; I asked directly. And I quote the manager of Catriona and Sam Milby, Erickson Raymundo, who said that someone else had also asked him about this. He said that he’s not aware if there’s been an event recently where Catriona wasn’t wearing her engagement ring.)
Diaz said that Raymundo didn’t see the need to ask the couple their status considering they are still spending time together with their other celebrity friends.
“Oo daw merong mga pagkakataon na hindi niya suot. Pero hindi na daw tinanong ng manager kung okay ba sila kasi the other day naman magkasama sila (Gray and Milby) with John Prats and Isabel Oli,” he said.
(Yes, there were circumstances in which [Catriona] was not wearing the engagement ring, but [Raymundo] didn’t bother to ask the couple if they were okay. Just the other day, they were together bonding with John Prats and Isabel Oli.)

Diaz lately had the unfortunate role of bearing the bad news of celebrity couples’ breakup, among them, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, Kim Chui and Xian Lim, Kim Jones and Jericho Rosales, and more recently, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque. While these supposed breakups have long been making the rounds of rumor mills, Diaz managed to maintain a level of credibility in confirming such news.
“This week nagyayaya si Catriona at Sam ng bonding ulit, so hindi totoo. Hindi po totoo na hindi tuloy ang kasal ni Sam Milby at Catriona Gray. Tuloy na tuloy po,” said the show biz insider.
(This week, Catriona and Sam have asked [Prats, Oli] to get together again, so it’s not true. It is not true that their wedding has been called off. The wedding is still on.)
Gray and Milby have been low-key about their relationship since 2020. Three years later, the couple got engaged and said the wedding is happening this year.
