Dominic Roque defends Bea Alonzo against bashers after breakup

Dominic Roque is standing up for his ex-fiance Bea Alonzo amid the negative remarks thrown at her after their reported separation.
On Thursday, Feb. 8, Roque reposted a Facebook reel he made for Alonzo’s birthday last year that showed their sweet moments together. He wrote a new caption, saying, “Bea’s a beautiful person inside and out. No hate, bashing, or negative things, please.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Feb. 6, TV host Boy Abunda confirmed that the two had broken off their engagement, adding that the two could still be in talks to save what’s left of their relationship.
“Are they still trying to talk? Siguro. Maaari dahil sino ba naman mag-aayos ang ganitong klase ng problema. From good sources, kagabi or isang gabi lamang, nag-usap sina Bea at Dominic. They’re trying to understand each other,” said Abunda.

Netizens were touched by Roque’s gesture and commended the actor for his decision to keep the love, while others urged the public to let the former couple handle their breakup on their own.

The two sparked separation rumors after Alonzo was seen not wearing her engagement ring, and recently the former couple’s camps were posting cryptic posts that fueled the netizens’ speculations and bashing.
Alonzo and Roque confirmed their relationship in 2021 and got engaged two years later.
