Jolo Revilla recounted his wife Angelica Alita’s high-risk pregnancy with their first child Lauren Angela and narrated how the beauty queen lost lots of blood due to complications after giving birth.
Days after announcing the arrival of their daughter, the actor-turned-politician showed a Facebook video on Friday, Feb. 2, documenting moments from when his wife was going through labor to welcoming their child at a hospital in Los Angeles, USA.
(Angel had a high-risk pregnancy. During our regular checkups, we found out that she had circumvallate placenta. It is an abnormality in the placenta that enfolds the baby in the womb.)
While Revilla was grateful that Lauren was born healthy, he was filled with fear as Alita had suffered from complications after childbirth.
(My wife, Angel, suffered from complications that caused nonstop bleeding. She had to undergo blood transfusion after giving birth to baby LA. I was overwhelmed with fear and worry, and felt as if my wife was going to die.)
(But, God loves us and Angel miraculously recovered. She was able to overcome her condition and she is continuously regaining her strength.)
Revilla then expressed his gratitude to those who offered their prayers and extended support to his family. He also thanked Alita’s doctor for saving her life.
Revilla, who currently serves as the representative of the first district of Cavite in the Lower House, tied the knot with Alita in 2019.
The couple announced Alita’s pregnancy in August 2023, then revealed at an intimate party that their first child is a girl.
