Let Original Pinoy Music (OPM) legends Odette Quesada and Ogie Alcasid, who penned and sang some of the greatest Filipino love songs of all time, put feelings into words with one timeless hit after another. In a special Valentine celebration presented by Newport World Resorts, the seasoned songstress and “King of OPM” will team up in “Love, Q&A” on Feb. 14 and 15 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT).

Each time Quesada sings ballads, she bares her soul to listeners. No wonder her hits “Till I Met You,” “Friend of Mine,” “Farewell,” “A Long, Long Time Ago” and “Don’t Know What To Do, Don’t Know What to Say,” which helped define OPM in the ’80s, still resonate with many music lovers today. This unwavering support was on full display during her sold-out 40th anniversary concert in NPAT last year.

On the other hand, there’s reason why many of Alcasid’s tracks could very well be the anthem for all romantic Filipinos. With relatable tracks such as “Nandito Ako,” “Kailangan Kita,” “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” and “Ikaw Lamang,” there’s always a perfect Alcasid song for every twist and turn of someone’s life.

While drawing from their respective repertoires, the show promises to be a sweet trip down memory lane, leaving audiences sighing, swooning and singing along.
