Ogie Alcasid laments fake ads using his name: ‘Wala pa ring tigil’
Ogie Alcasid was dismayed after seeing another fake endorsement under his name, lamenting how he had already reported several of such on social media.
A false advertisement for a “joint and bone therapy” cream used a photo of Alcasid lying in a hospital bed while surrounded by medical staff. It also included a fake testament supposedly from the singer as its caption.
“Guys hindi po ako ito,” Alcasid clarified, showing a screenshot of the fake ad on his Instagram page on Friday, Jan. 26. “I have seen several posts of these and some have been reported pero wala pa ring tigil yung iba. Nakakalungkot po.”
“Please do not follow and believe these people. Unless I personally post on my socmeds any products, all of that you see claiming that I have endorsed them is false. The Lord Bless us all,” he added.

Alcasid also clarified in the comments section that the picture used in the ad was indeed his, but that it was taken when he had a medical checkup.
Several celebrities were also outraged over Alcasid’s post, with actress Marissa Sanchez urging the singer to take legal action against those behind the fake ads.
In 2022, Alcasid was also victimized by a false advertisement using his name to sell an air-conditioning unit. The singer had learned about the fake ad after several people apparently reached out to him to ask about the product.
