After giving birth last December, Alfred Vargas and his wife Yasmine Espiritu finally showed the public the beautiful face of their youngest daughter, Aurora Sofia.
On Tuesday, January 23, Yasmine posted on Instagram a photo of their baby girl wrapped in a blanket and wearing a floral headband for her princess-themed photoshoot.
“To our dear family and friends, with much love, gratitude and happiness, we proudly introduce the newest member of our family, our little bundle of joy, Aurora Sofia E. Vargas,” she wrote.
In a separate post, the proud mother shared a quotation from “Sleeping Beauty,” where the lead character inspired the first name of their daughter with a photo of their sleeping newborn in a basket.
In 2019, the Filipina-Italian previously gave birth to a premature baby for their third child and admitted that her fourth pregnancy was another challenge as it took a toll on her physical and mental health.
“This pregnancy has been very difficult mentally, physically, and emotionally. From suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum and GAD, to worrying about having a low placenta (it resolved itself already and high-lying na), and to having a subchorionic hemorrhage in the first trimester,” she opened up on Instagram.
Vargas detailed in a past interview the struggles that his wife went through during their fourth pregnancy, noting the generalized anxiety disorder she had to endure.
“She can’t even drink water nang hindi nagsusuka after,” said the Quezon City councilor to ABS-CBN. “She lost several kilograms in the first three weeks. This is her second pregnancy with GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). And she experiences relentless anxiety and panic attacks (without any triggers),”
In 2010, the couple tied the knot in a civil wedding, then held their church wedding in July 2017. They have three other kids: daughters Alexandra and Aryana, and son Alfredo Cristiano.
