Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado spoke up after an individual demanded them to return his money, which was allegedly given to the couple as payment for a condominium unit that was not turned over to him.
A Japanese individual named Fujiwara Masashi on Facebook earlier made public posts, addressing the singers and asking them to reach out to him.
“You are happy. You only paid P250,000 for the condo you sold to me, and I paid you 5 million yen, but I didn’t get it,” Fujiwara claimed. “Please return 5 million yen. Aren’t you embarrassed?”
Fujiwara concluded his message by putting the addressee: “To Dingdong Avanzado.”
In a succeeding post, the netizen added Zaragoza’s name and said, “Please feel free to contact me and pay!”

Zaragoza and Avanzado then released an official statement through their respective Instagram pages on Friday, Jan. 19, lamenting how “certain individuals are using the power of social media to spread inaccurate and false information against [them].”
“We categorically and specifically deny all these false, misleading, malicious, and baseless allegations made against us. We have not committed any offense that would undermine our integrity or tarnish the good reputation of our family name,” the couple said.
“Our family does not have any unpaid obligations due to anyone, nor did we commit any act to defraud any person. We have been working hard in the entertainment industry for the past decades to honestly provide for the needs of our family,” they further stressed.
The singers also stated that they have been discussing with their lawyers on the possible legal actions regarding the matter.
Coincidentally, the pair’s daughter, actress-singer Jayda Avanzado, recently bought her first condominium unit, calling it her “investment of 2024.”
