Tom Holland debunked the separation rumors between him and girlfriend Zendaya by giving a direct, two-word response.
In a video posted by TMZ, Holland said “absolutely not” when asked if he had broken up with the “Euphoria” star.
The Hollywood couple sparked separation rumors after Zendaya cleared her Instagram following and unfollowed everybody on her list, including her boyfriend.
Several international outlets have also been mentioning that the two haven’t been spotted in public recently, milking the split speculations.
However, in June, Holland explained in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that his personal matters, especially his relationship with the Spider-Man co-star, are something he’s “protective of.”
“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and that we want to keep as sacred as possible,” he said. “We don’t think that we owe it to anyone; it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
Zendaya echoed this statement in her August 2023 interview with Elle Magazine, saying she could choose what she wanted to share with the public despite being a public figure.
“Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share,” she said.
“It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now,” added the actress.
The two met in 2016 after starring in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” The following year, rumors surfaced that the two were officially dating, but it was only in 2021 that they made their relationship official.
Over the years, the couple has been delighting fans as they post photos of them together on Instagram and occasionally grace a few red-carpet events together.
