Siomai King wins Franchising Hall of Famer of the Year at Asia Leaders Awards

Siomai King, a prominent figure in the franchising business, has been honored as the "Franchising Hall of Famer of the Year" at the Asia Leaders Awards (ALA). This recognition marks a significant milestone for Siomai King, showcasing its remarkable journey. Previously named "Franchising Company of the Year" for three consecutive years in 2020, 2021, and 2022. And in 2023 the company has finally achieved the esteemed Hall of Fame status.

This recognition marks a significant milestone for Siomai King, showcasing its remarkable journey from being previously named “Franchising Company of the Year” for three consecutive years in 2020, 2021, and 2022. And in 2023, the company has finally achieved the esteemed Hall of Fame status.

Presenting the award was the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines H.E Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castellino, together with Tag Media Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Andrew Nicolas and Chief Operations Officer Engr. Grace Bondad Nicolas.

A special awarding ceremony, which was attended by over 3.000 individuals, was held during the JC Go Global Kick-Off on January 7, 2024, at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City.

Attendees at the event were also treated to an exciting surprise when Siomai King’s co-founders, Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, unveiled the latest addition to their menu: the Adobo Siopao.

Picture Siomai King’s signature fluffy siopao bun, generously stuffed with a savory adobo filling that will satisfy the Filipino palate. Attendees got to have a taste of the new delectable flavor at the event as Siomai King gave out these buns of joy throughout the crowd.

With more than 1,000 branches, Siomai King proves that it is one of the leading food cart businesses in the country. The brand’s promise of top quality and change has not just overcome difficulties in the business community, but also created new measures for success.

Co-founders Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, who are the driving force behind the success of Siomai King, also discussed tips for getting to a winning position.
