KC’s winning attributes

CONCEPCION. Intelligence, candor and poise.

Miguel Razon, real estate agent: “I watched ‘Kris TV’s’ recent feature on KC Concepcion’s condominium, which differs significantly from the large, interior-designed houses of many celebrities. Her abode is sophisticated yet casual and comfortable.

“During the tour, an insight into KC’s personality was gained: Intelligence, candor and poise without affectation are her winning attributes. She exuded class, charm and warmth. She is an asset to local show business!”

Betty Pollisco, college instructor: “I’m a proud Noranian who, in high school, fought hard to defend my idol, especially when my Vilmanian schoolmates said something negative about her. The Nora-Vilma rivalry has been a part of my life. But, now that I’m older, I have begun watching Vilma Santos’ films—and find them engrossing, too.

“I will forever be a Noranian, but I’ve also learned to admire Ate Vi, especially the way she handles her careers in politics and show biz. I hope that they will soon appear in a movie together!”

Diana Picazo, student: “The election season is indeed on the horizon when you see incumbent politicians doing the rounds of TV programs. Recently, I was appalled to see a local official on a show biz-oriented talk show. The host, known for his acerbic comic flair, had a field day asking him about his humble beginnings.

“The interview went on smoothly, until he was asked about the brand of his underwear. Without hesitation, the official showed it—for everyone to see! If only he could be as cooperative and hardworking as a public servant, because the city he serves needs his utmost attention.”

Eboy Donato, film enthusiast: “Viewers who were looking for a re-imagining of Lawrence Fajardo’s gripping ‘Amok’ in his new film, ‘Posas,’ may have been disappointed—but, they’re missing the point: ‘Posas’ chronicles the tedious, red tape-induced everyday reality of police work. It’s a cautionary tale. Art Acuña’s character is surprisingly likeable, walking the thin line between compassion and total lack of remorse.”
