I would never imagine that in this day and age when things have put a stop for most mainstream movies to be fun, entertaining, and happy, it has been a nearly virtual impossibility to have a movie that does not have some wokeness in it.
However, there is now some light beginning to show at the end of the tunnel such that Hollywood can finally begin to free itself from the proverbial chains of the Woke Movement and come back to making movies that everyone can enjoy without it being told on what should be entertaining or not.
The point is this. Watching movies should be a joy and not a lecture on how to live one’s life. And with that said, I find that the third sequel to the Beverly Hills Cop movies that Eddie Murphy has become legendarily known for brings high hopes for these kinds of movies to be made once more prior to the Woke agenda ruining everything.
Based on what I have seen in the official trailer of ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’, this is going to be a great and fitting possible final installment to the famed movie franchise that has been languishing in developmental hell since the late 90s with this said third installment that never got greenlit to be made for one illogical and downright stupid reason or another.
And, yes, this will be shown exclusively only on Netflix.
Why so? Because this streaming service has the courage to show movies like this that upset the populace of the Woke Movement. So, get to watch it when you can because Eddie Murphy as ‘Axel Foley’ once more is going to be surely worth it.
Let us be real here. Many of us have given up on the idea of Eddie Murphy coming back to portray his most legendary role.
The years and decades have passed since Beverly Hills Cop 3 was released because I got to watch that movie when I was still in grade school! It certainly feels like a lifetime away because it was a surreal feeling and put me in an almost dreamlike state when I got to see Eddie Murphy in the official trailer for ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ what with the onscreen character “Axel Foley’s” signature Detroit Lions football sports jacket, his undeniable comedic presence, his “Am I a good cop or bad cop?” swagger and of course, that signature laugh of his. And by the way, that signature laugh is Murphy’s real life laugh so I could say that his character role and his real-life persona merge and meld into one which is actually the one and only Eddie Murphy!
It is safe to say Eddie Murphy is going to be funny here. And when you combine that with the action genre of ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ then, this is going to be a complete throwback in terms of its movie genre to the decade of the 80s when the first two Beverly Hills Cop movies were released in cinemas. Of course, Eddie Murphy is much older now but that official trailer showed me that the Eddie Murphy of old is still there and perhaps, we will see him come out again the way he was when he was one of the premiere Hollywood actors and comedians at the time from the early 80s to late 90s.
The very first time I got to watch a Beverly Hills Cop movie was when it was in VHS form and it was the second one, Beverly Hills Cop 2. And there was a time an edited version of it was shown on a local channel and that only happened once. On a broader scope, this is not only Hollywood digging up, dusting off, and bringing back to life the Beverly Hills Cop movie franchise and rightfully so, having Eddie Murphy reprise his role that only he can do.
On a wider scope for me, this is a sign that things are finally normalizing once more in Hollywood. What a relief from the drowning deluge of woke crap rammed down everyone’s throats for close to fifteen years.
Be sure to watch ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ as soon as it is available for streaming on Netflix.
