‘Eat Bulaga!’ unveils new logo amid trademark triumph
The triumvirate of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, collectively known as TVJ, unveiled the new logo of their noontime show amid their victory over a trademark battle against Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE).
On their official Facebook page on Saturday, Jan. 6, TVJ bared their new logo as they set the written symbol as their page’s cover photo.
During their Saturday episode, the hosting trio, alongside their “Dabarkads,” played “Eat Bulaga!”‘s theme song with their new logo in the background for the first time in a long time, triumphant in their trademark case against GMA Network and TAPE.
In the same episode, Vic affirmed that there is only one “Eat Bulaga!”, and that is their show airing on TV5.
“Isa lang po ang sinasabi ng batas pati ng mga manonood, isa lang ang pwedeng tawaging, ‘Eat Bulaga! ’” he remarked. “Isa lang ang pwedeng tawaging, ‘Eat Bulaga!’ at ayun ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ dito sa TV5! “
