TAPE Inc. used “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” as the new title of its noontime show, after the court ruled that Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon (TVJ) are the rightful owners of the Eat Bulaga trademark.
On Saturday, Jan. 6—a day after TVJ announced its win on the copyright infringement and unfair competition case against the production company and GMA Network—hosts Paolo Contis and Isko Moreno began the noontime show by acknowledging the court decision.
“Mga Kapuso, may balita tayong natanggap kahapon, kaya susunod tayo sa desisyon ng korte,” Moreno said. “Pero fresh episode tayo mula ngayon at laging good vibes lang at love love lang.”
(Our dear Kapuso, the news came out yesterday so we will comply with the decision of the court. But we will be bringing you fresh episodes with love and good vibes starting today.)
“Ang mahalaga, hanggat nandyan po kayo, kami ni Paolo at ang ating mga kasama dito sa ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ ay tuloy-tuloy and tulong at saya at sorpresa,” he added.
(What’s important is that as long as you support us, Paolo and I, alongside our fellow hosts in “Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” will continue providing help, joy and surprises.)
Moreno and Contis did not further talk about the matter and instead went on to tease more surprises for its viewers.
The production company, meanwhile, changed its Facebook cover photo to the “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” logo.
“It feels like Day 1 at maraming salamat sa pagbisita sa Tahanang Pinakamasaya! Tuloy-tuloy lang ang Tulong, Saya at Sorpresa!” it said.
TVJ earlier stressed that the court order is “immediately executory” regardless of whether the production company or the Kapuso network files an appeal.
