Although unable to join in the celebration of Liza Soberano’s 26th birthday, Enrique Gil made sure his love was felt through his greeting, in which he vowed his constant support to the actress.
Gil penned his birthday message to Soberano alongside a photo of them sitting beside each other with their pouting lips, through his Instagram Stories on Thursday, Jan. 4.
“Happy birthday, our dear Hopie! I’ll always have your back no matter what. Wish I was there to celebrate your special day,” wrote Gil, who appears to have celebrated the holidays with his family in Spain.

In response, Soberano shared the greeting via her Instagram page and captioned it: “Thank you! Forever grateful for you.”

Gil’s sister, Andie, also wished Soberano well on her birthday. “Hope your day is filled with love, laughter and, most of all, time for yourself.”

Soberano, meanwhile, marked her birthday with concept photos taken a year ago by celebrity photographer Shaira Luna.
“Here’s to 26!” she said. “Thank you everyone for the loving messages. Grateful for everyone who makes me feel special by showing their love and support today and everyday!”
Soberano and Gil have been a subject of breakup rumors since the actress moved to the United States to pursue an acting career in Hollywood. The pair, however, have denied these separately in several instances.
Reports swirled last December that the couple had broken up in October 2022, with claims that the actress supposedly admitted this in an “unreleased interview.” The pair has yet to confirm or deny these claims as of this writing.
