Celebs’ wish list, goals for 2024

“At this point in my life—I’m already 59—my wish is no longer personal, but for the world. I wish for us to achieve genuine peace. In times like these, we can already feel evil lurking in our midst, what with all the unnecessary deaths that are happening, not just in the Philippines, but also abroad. I don’t know if genuine peace will ever happen, but it’s a wish.

“My goal? I will try to get pregnant again—this is a joke because I no longer have ovaries (laughs). At my age, I just want to be happy, to do most of my interests while I’m still strong enough to do them. I intend to have an easy life. I no longer aspire for greatness. I guess I still want to make more beautiful movies. To direct them? I don’t think I can do that! I’d rather act in front of the cameras.

For myself, I wish for more self-compassion; for my family and friends, love and meaningful connections; for the world, global compassion and understanding.

For 2024, I want a career milestone in acting. Also, I’m finally launching my writing career. I intend to deepen my spiritual practice and spend more time with people I love and with those who inspire and motivate me.
