While Christmas brings the cheers, the merrymaking that marks the season also takes its toll on one’s physical well-being. And for beauty queens Janelle Tee, Karen Ibasco, and Katrina Anne Johnson, people can still find ways to not let everyone see how stressful the holidays have been.

For Ibasco, the last Filipino woman to be crowned Miss Earth, time management is the key. “I have the right time to sleep. And of course, nothing can ever compensate with sleep,” she told INQUIRER.net at the sidelines of a recent gathering at the Grand Hyatt BGC in Taguig City which she hosted.

Johnson, the current Binibining Pilipinas first runner-up, vouches for the power of inner radiance. “Some people drink alcohol, of course that makes the skin dry, and there’s also lack of sleep, for sure. I’m someone who always looks on the positive, and I think that really radiates, that gives you a certain type of glow from within that you can’t achieve anywhere else. I would say stay positive,” she explained.

Tee, who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth in 2019, echoed Johnson’s sentiments. “The secret is to just keep a positive energy, and enjoy what you’re doing. That’s the main thing, you’re already stressed, but you’re happy with what you’re doing,” said the VivaMax artist.

Ibasco, meanwhile, proudly declared that she still finds time to hit the gym, six years since her coronation in 2017, and even during the busy holiday season. “Workout is a lifestyle for me. It’s not a trend. And I make sure to watch what I eat, because it’s December and you’re gonna attend a lot of celebrations,” she shared.

“So just be careful with what you eat, but still enjoy. I think it’s more on the balance of everything that you do in December,” she continued.

But in cases where there have been too much of a good time already, the ladies also admit to pampering themselves in beauty clinics, to take the stress away. Tee attests to the power of a “gluta drip,” while debunking claims that it only makes you white.

“You radiate, you glow. My goal is not to get whiter. With the results, you’ll feel more energized, more glowing. You can also have it customized. Like in my case, if I need to lose weight, I have it infused with L-Carnitine,” she explained.

Johnson enjoys facials, she said. “As someone with really sensitive, acne-prone skin, that is my savior, even during [Bb. Pilipinas] when I was a candidate. I also really like Ulthera. I am the chubby-cheeked girl ever since I was a little kid. So it kind of helps lift and tone,” she shared.

And standing by their word, the three ladies did let their hair down at the ball, and partook of the merrymaking, alongside The Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne, Mutya ng Pilipinas President Cory Quirino, and several Sparkle GMA artists, including 2018 Miss Multinational Sophia Senoron.
