Dingdong Dantes, Boy Abunda, Chris Martinez’s wish list, goals for 2024
DINGDONG DANTES
My wish is for our movie, “Rewind,” to be successful in terms of box-office sales. I hope many will come to see it on Christmas Day.
My goal for 2024 is to have more quality time with my kids, Zia and Ziggy. The year 2023 was one of the busiest years of my life because of all the piled-up commitments. This wasn’t intentional. I wasn’t able to finish some projects because of the pandemic. It’s good that we’re slowly opening up now. I’m grateful that my health did not suffer and, at the same time, I was able to produce a TV show (“Bonggang Villa”) and a movie (“Rewind”) that I’m very proud of.”
BOY ABUNDA
Christmas wish? The first thing that comes to mind is good health. After the pandemic, my only wish is for all of us to be healthy, and to be serious about taking good care of ourselves.
My 2024 goal is to be healthy whatever it takes. In terms of career, I will ride the tide. I’ve been in this business for quite a while. I’m at a point where I will willingly roll with the punches. I’m still enjoying my work. I will ride the tide, listen and watch intently as I have always done. If I am needed, I will be there. Especially during the time of social media, the one thing that I’m never afraid to be, in a sense, is to become irrelevant. For as long as I know my worth, I’m not afraid. I’m too blessed to complain, especially with the situation of the industry right now.
CHRIS MARTINEZ
This Christmas, I wish moviegoers will go back to the cinemas, so that all the films in the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) will make money. If that happens, that would mean more jobs for everybody in the industry in the future.
