MANILA, Philippines—Filipino fans of the Smashing Pumpkins will have to wait one more day to watch the band’s concert, which was originally scheduled Tuesday, Aug. 7, 8 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

In a statement sent to the media, the concert’s publicist said: “The Smashing Pumpkins would like to inform all its fans that due to the adverse weather and unforeseen events beyond our control, we are left with no other recourse but to move our show tomorrow, Aug. 8, same venue. All tickets (dated Aug. 7) will be honored tomorrow.”

The band’s frontman, cofounder and main songwriter, Billy Corgan, posted his own message on Twitter: “I’m happy to report, thanks to our great crew and the Manila promoter, that we have rescheduled our show for tomorrow.”
