Anne Curtis leads cast of PH remake of ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’

For her teleserye comeback, Anne Curtis is set to star alongside Carlo Aquino and Joshua Garcia in the Philippine adaptation of Korean TV series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.”

Curtis, Aquino and Garcia’s casting was announced during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special last Wednesday, Dec. 13. The remake project is one of the shows teased to be part of the Kapamilya network’s lineup for the year 2024.

The “It’s Showtime” host will portray the role of Ko Moon-young, which was brought to life by South Korean actress Seo Ye-ji. Further details on the TV series, including Aquino and Garcia’s roles, have yet to be disclosed as of this writing.

“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” tells the story of Ko Moon-young and Kim Soo-hyun’s Moon Gang-tae who heal each other’s emotional wounds and become romantically involved.

Ko Moon-young is a children’s book writer with personality disorder, while Moon Gang-tae is a psychiatric aide who takes care of his mentally-ill older brother, Oh Jung-se’s Moon Sang-tae.

Curtis‘ last TV series was “Dyesebel” in 2014, where she played the titular mermaid role. Aside from the remake project, Curtis is also set to mark her acting comeback with a film with renowned director Erik Matti.
