Netflix down for thousands of users in US – Downdetector
Streaming giant Netflix is down for thousands of users in the United States on Monday, December 11, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
Netflix, in an emailed statement, said it is facing “unexpected technical issues” for some members.
Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including users, showed about 7,000 reports of outages as of 19:17 ET, down from nearly 17,000 reports earlier.
This reported outage happened nearly two months after Netflix increased subscription prices for some streaming plans in the United States.
It also increased subscription prices for some streaming plans in Britain and France.

Almost 9 million subscribers joined Netflix around the globe in the third quarter of the year, surpassing Wall Street analysts’ forecast for 6 million, according to LSEG.
The company said it expected a similar number of additions in the fourth quarter.
