Pokwang disclosed that she let her estranged partner Lee O’Brian visit and spend time with their daughter Malia again, after the American actor reached out to the comedian.

Pokwang was asked about her co-parenting setup with the actor, weeks after O’Brian shared through his Instagram page his reunion with Malia.

“Okay naman, nakakadalaw naman siya; napapasyal niya ‘yung bata,” the comedian-TV host told members of the press in an event for her and Eugene Domingo’s film “Becky and Badette.” (We’re OK. He gets to visit and spend time with Malia.)

“Ako naghihintay lang ulit ako kung kailan niya gusto. Gano’n naman ‘yon, kasi importante sa akin ‘yung happiness nung anak ko. E magpapasko—Christmas is for children,” Pokwang added.

(I’m just waiting for him to ask me again [when he wants to be with Malia]. That’s how we are now because my child’s happiness is important to me. It’s Christmas season and this holiday is for children.)

Pokwang then narrated how O’Brian suddenly reconnected with her to ask permission if he could watch a show with their daughter.

“Bigla na lang siya nag-message kasi,” she disclosed. “Ni-drop off ko ‘yung bata sa lugar niya.” (He suddenly messaged me… I dropped off my daughter to his place.)

When asked if this is the start of their renewed friendship, Pokwang responded, “Sana… May proseso tayo d’yan, unti-unti.” (I hope so… There’s a process on that, step by step.)

This came amid the legal battle between Pokwang and the actor. Pokwang filed in June a deportation complaint and cancellation of visa against O’Brian, with the comedian claiming that he has been using a tourist visa even when he has been staying in the country for the past eight years.

O’Brian, in turn, issued a counter-affidavit and appealed to the Philippine government to look at his case “fairly and with justice.”

Pokwang and O’Brian, who had been in a relationship for around six years, welcomed Malia in 2018.
