In the wake of her recent breakup confirmation with Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo expressed her gratitude to her mom, Min, whom the actress considers as her “best support system” amid the “challenges of this industry.”
The “A Very Good Girl” star penned an appreciation message to her mom while showing a photo shoot they did for a brand, via the actress’ Instagram page on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
“Blessed to have had the best support system as I navigated the challenges of this industry and the career path I chose,” she spoke of Min.
“Thank you mama for being my number one supporter since the beginning—from accompanying me to auditions, to encouraging me as I experienced rejections, and then to finally fulfilling our dreams together,” Kathryn then addressed her mom.

The mother and daughter’s bond earned admiration from friends and fellow celebrities, who filled the comments section with compliments and heart emoji.
Kathryn and Padilla confirmed last Nov. 30 that they had ended their 11-year relationship. Min as well as Padilla’s mom, TV host Karla Estrada, were among those who expressed their love and support to the former couple after the breakup announcement.
While no reason for the split was immediately disclosed, the actress admitted that they “have been drifting apart for a while now.”
Prior to confirming their breakup, Kathryn and Padilla’s relationship had been hounded by third-party rumors after showbiz insiders claimed that the actor had been secretly meeting with younger actress Andrea Brillantes.
While neither the pair nor Brillantes have addressed the rumors so far, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the actresses no longer follow each other on Instagram.
