Apart from Ogie Diaz, TV host and showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin likewise feels “vindicated” after Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s breakup was confirmed — as she noted that her earlier allegations were indeed true.
During the Dec. 1 episode of her web show “Showbiz Now Na,” Fermin, alongside her co-hosts Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, stressed that she feels “vindicated” with their split although she noted that she’s sad about their breakup.
Even though we’re accused of being fake news peddlers and we received vengeful remarks from the public, the truth came out),” she said.
The columnist noted that she’s not rejoicing over the breakup of Bernardo and Padilla, but rather, her feeling of vindication stemmed from her claim that it was Padilla’s mother, Karla Estrada, who made her and her co-hosts seem like the bad guys.
Last November, Estrada belied claims that she confirmed KathNiel’s split even before the couple did. She said and that she will never meddle in the personal lives of her children.
(We reported that Karla Estrada confirmed their split to a source, then she made us to be liars. Our reporting was very vague back then, that her son was indeed separated from Kathryn for good or she squealed the news. I felt the vindication.)
Sino ngayon ang sinungaling?” she further added.
(We went through a time where we faced accusations from the public, when it was Karla Estrada who started it. Even if you accuse us as liars, the truth will come out no matter how hard you try to hide it. Karla Estrada painted us — albeit not directly — as liars. Who is the liar now?)
During the video, Fermin reiterated that a couple’s breakup is something not worth rejoicing. However, she claimed that they control themselves from reporting their split.
(We shouldn’t rejoice over a couple’s split because it’s indeed something worth mourning over. But we couldn’t control our emotions because it’s been a long time since this issue has been around. Daniel and Kathryn’s camps weren’t saying anything.)
Meanwhile, Diaz said in his “Showbiz Update” vlog that he had mixed emotions over KathNiel’s split, as his reporting caused bashers to spew negative remarks and that his family was allegedly attacked over the issue.
