ABS-CBN and Star Magic have urged netizens to respect the mutual decision of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, more popularly known as the love team “Kathniel” to call it quits after an 11-year romance, while warning against those creating “fake news” regarding their split.
In an official statement last Saturday, Dec. 2, ABS-CBN and Star Magic expressed their “unwavering support” for Bernardo and Daniel — who also made waves as the loveteam KathNiel.
“ABS-CBN and Star Magic respect and understand the mutual decision of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla to part ways. Let’s respect their statements and refrain from adding more to what was already said or create fake news,” they said.

The media giant and talent agency stressed that KathNiel didn’t do “any interviews or issued any new statements” as the ex-partners addressed their split on social media.
“They have not done any interviews or issued any new statements as they have already expressed their sentiments on their social media accounts,” they said. “We ask everyone to respect them and allow them to heal and move on. ABS-CBN and Star Magic remain steadfast in our unwavering support for Kathryn and Daniel.”
Bernardo and Padilla confirmed their split in official statements on their respective Instagram accounts last Nov. 30.
The actress also stressed that while she’s “aware of the rumors and speculations going around” their breakup, she clarified that they simply “drifted apart.”
