If you’re a fan of pop culture, the iconic Filipino girl group SexBomb will always be on your radar. Despite the group’s inactivity, former members recently gathered for a fun get-together that also served as their Christmas party.

On Instagram, the group’s former leader, Rochelle Pangilinan-Solinap, shared photos and videos showing the ex-SexBomb Girls playing party games and exchanging gifts.

“Ang saya lang makita at makasama kayong muli. Dati sabay kumain, maligo, at matulog. Ngayon may kanya-kanya nang buhay. Sarap ng kwentuhan at tawanan kagabi. Ulitin natin to!” Rochelle wrote.

Aside from Rochelle, members Izzy Trazona-Aragon, Weng Ibarra, CheChe Tolentino, Jacky Rivas, Sunshine Garcia-Castro, Cynthia “CY” Yapchingco-Lim, Mhyca Bautista and Aifha Medina-Cheng were present in the group’s get-together.

Meanwhile, the other girls would not allow the chance to pass without also expressing their gladness for the mini reunion. Member Izzy wrote, “Night with them is (heart emojis),” while Weng and Aifha’s penned, “So Happy Together,” and “We all come from the same root, but the leaves are all different,” respectively.

Despite the attendance of the 14 former members of the iconic pop group, fans noticed that original members Aira Bermudez, Jopay Paguia-Zamora, Johlan Veluz, Yvette Pabalan and Louise Bolton were missing from the party.

SexBomb Girls history

The Sexbomb Girls skyrocketed into stardom through the country’s longest-running noontime variety show, Eat Bulaga, in the early 2000s. They launched their first album in 2002, titled “Unang Putok,” which went four times platinum in sales.

Apart from dancing and singing gigs, the all-girl group turned to acting, as they starred in the long-running “Daisy Siete” and their own movie titled “Bakit Papa.”

Unlike other groups, the SexBomb Girls never had an official disbandment. At the height of their fame, the group had 24 members divided into separate singing and dancing teams, but overall, over 70 members have come and gone in the group’s history.

However, in 2011, the group was dismissed from their house show “Eat Bulaga,” allowing them to do freelance work and appear in shows outside of GMA. In December 2013, the original members of the dance group went their separate ways.

SexBomb popularized the “Spaghetti Song” and an education campaign rendition of “Bilog na Hugis Itlog.” Their official chant, “Get, Get Aww!” was also one of the most memorable things about the group.
