2024 is going to be an exciting year ahead for real-life couple actor Sam Milby and beauty queen Catriona Gray as they prepare for their wedding.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Milby confirmed that their wedding is scheduled for next year and that they are looking forward to an intimate wedding.
“I’m very excited. We have a great team helping us prepare. We are getting things ready. We are very excited,” said the actor.
Milby revealed that he’s hands-on in the planning but not as much as her fiance: “She’s much more of a planner than I am.”
Gray recently hosted the 2023 Miss Universe, and the actor took the opportunity to say how proud he was of his future wife.
“I was watching; I was like, I’m sorry. I think pwede na siyang main host na. Her energy and how she can think of it, ang bilis ng pag-iisip niya. She’s amazing. She has a natural talent for hosting,” said Milby.

When asked if the couple would dive into building a family and having kids after their wedding next year, the actor said he’s ready, but they have to have the chance to enjoy their union first.
“Ako, I am ready. I’m turning 40 next year. We’re both excited to start a family, but it’s enjoying the marriage first,” he said.
In October, the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder said that she’s particular about her “vision” for their wedding but noted that there’s a “lot of allowance” for the actor’s input.
“I have a lot of allowance for Sam because it’s both of our special days [since] it includes a lot of special people [in our lives]. I am very strong in my vision, as usual, but I wanted it to reflect the both of us. I don’t think it would be our wedding if I had a say on everything,” explained Gray.
Meanwhile, the couple will be away from one another this Christmas, as the singer-beauty queen will be going back to Australia to be with her parents, while Milby will be staying in the country to be with his sister.
