Anjo Yllana not on speaking terms with brother Jomari Yllana
Anjo Yllana revealed that he’s still not on speaking terms with his brother Jomari Yllana, although he clarified that he’s happy for the latter’s marriage to Abby Viduya in Las Vegas.
During an interview with ex sister-in-law Aiko Melendez on YouTube last Wednesday, Nov. 22, Anjo admitted that he’s not on good terms with Jomari while pointing out that the reason behind their apparent squabble should be kept between them.
Melendez is the ex-wife of Jomari with whom he has a son, Andre. The couple tied the knot twice, first at a civil ceremony in Bulacan in 1998, then a church wedding at the Archbishop’s Palace in Mandaluyong. Their union, however, ended in annulment four years later, which became final in 2020.
“Hindi kayo nag-uusap? Huwag kang mag-alala, hindi rin kami nag-uusap. Kayo hindi kayo nag-uusap, kami hindi kami nag-uusap. Pero ayoko nang pag-usapan kung bakit di kami nag-uusap,” Anjo said in response to Melendez revealing she’s not in contact with Jomari.
“I just don’t wanna lie [kahit] merong hindi tama. May problema kaming magkapatid, but that’s between us. As much as possible, ayoko na lang pag-usapan,” he further added.

But I don’t want to share why we’re not talking to each other. I just don’t wanna lie even if there’s something not okay between us. We have problems, but that’s just between us. As much as possible, I don’t want to talk about it.)

Ikinasal sila even though we didn’t talk,” he said, saying he was sad for the latter’s split with Melendez back then.
“Ang bilin ko sa kanya noon, I was hurt noong nakipaghiwalay siya sa’yo,” he continued, while referring to Melendez. “Kasi sabi ko nga, once you’re a member of our family, I consider you as a family. You will be forever part of me as a family member.”
(Just like that, they got married, right? I’m happy for them. They got married though we didn’t talk. I advised him about it before. I was hurt when the two of you broke up. Because I said, once you’re a member of our family, I consider you as a family. You will be forever part of me as a family member.)
Anjo also disclosed that he previously advised Jomari to give his relationships time before deciding whether to marry a potential partner or not.
“Ako minsan lang ako magsalita, bilang the kuya and wala na kasi yung daddy [namin]. Sabi ko sa kanya being the eldest, ‘Ang pakiusap ko lang sa yo, pag nagkaroon ka ng girlfriend ulit, bigyan mo ng five years bago ka mag-asawa ulit. Kasi ayokong maggi-girlfriend ka, mag-aasawa ka, tapos maghihiwalay ulit,’” he said.
“Gusto ko kapag nagkaroon siya ng asawa, pang-habambuhay na. So hopefully, panghabambuhay ‘yun,” he further explained.
(I rarely talk as the older brother and our father is not around anymore. As the eldest, “What I ask of you is when you have a girlfriend, give it five years before marrying again. Because I don’t want you to have a girlfriend, get married, then break up. When he gets married, it will last forever. So hopefully, their marriage will last forever.)
Back in January 2022, Anjo made headlines after accusing Jomari and Abby of allegedly stealing his campaign funds for his congressional bid in Camarines Sur’s fourth district, per a Philippine Entertainment Portal report. The couple remained mum on the accusations up to this day.
Jomari and Abby tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, US earlier this month.
