During a guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, Nov. 21, T.G.I.S. stars Angelu de Leon and Polo Ravales dropped the names of the co-stars with whom they had brief feelings.

The two actors, who came from different T.G.I.S. batches, were teasing each other if they both had a boyfriend and girlfriend among their co-stars.

They were hesitant to answer at first, but after Abunda’s encouragement, de Leon laughingly said, “Si Mike.”

Mike, also known as Michael Flores, portrayed Mickey ‘Migs’ Ledesma in the ’90s youth-oriented television show.

Meanwhile, Ravales also had a one-word answer to the question of who he had a romantic involvement with: “Si Shine,” he said, referring to actress Sunshine Dizon.

Ravales and Dizon, who played Carla “Calai” Escalante, were love teams in the series, and it appears like what they portrayed on screen romantically got translated outside of the camera.

Angelu de Leon & Bobby Andrews’ relationship

Abunda also asked de Leon about her other co-star, Bobby Andrews, who was deeply linked to the actress. However, she said that they were never a love team.

De Leon reiterated that she and Bobby were never a love team or real-life couple, but that what they felt for each other was something more special.

“I would always say that Bobby would always be one of my soulmates. Ang lagi naming sinasabi, we’re more than friends, but less of a lover. Kasi hindi siya umabot ng romantic, but the care we have is sobra,” said de Leon.

“T.G.I.S.” or “Thank God It’s Sabado,” is like the Filipino version of the American series F.R.I.E.N.D.S. In its four-year run on television, T.G.I.S. had multiple cast members including Maui Taylor, Ciara Sotto, Dino Guevarra, Rica Peralejo, Antoinette Taus, Anne Curtis, Jake Roxas and Vanna Garcia, among others.

T.G.I.S. ran from August 1995 to November 1999, and in 1997, T.G.I.S.: The Movie was released. Despite the long years, fans are still waiting to see if there will be any reunion projects regarding the series.
