Jamie Foxx faces sexual assault in New York lawsuit
Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx has been sued for sexual assault and battery charges in a lawsuit dated Monday.
According to the lawsuit obtained by Variety, the alleged incident happened at Catch NYC & Roof restaurant in 2015.
The complainant recalled in the lawsuit that 8 years ago, around 11 PM, Foxx arrived at the bar and allegedly took her to a secluded corner of the rooftop lounge to rub her breasts and grope her under her pants against her will.
The woman recalled that the harassment started when the actor began to compliment her smell, body, and resemblance to singer-actress Gabrielle Union.

Under a special state law, survivors of sexual abuse cases have just a one-year window within which to file their complaints even if statutes of limitations have run out. The New York Adult Survivors Act, which according to the Associated Press launched more than 2,500 lawsuits for sexual abuse, is set to expire after Thanksgiving, Nov. 23 (Nov. 24 in the Philippines).
Several international media outlets have tried to reach out to the actor but Foxx has yet to release a statement on the matter.
Foxx is known for his Hollywood movies Ray (2004), Collateral (2004), Horrible Bosses (2011), and Django Unchained (2012), among others.
