Girl’s Day’s Sojin ties the knot with actor Lee Dong-ha
Sojin of Girl’s Day has tied the knot with Lee Dong-ha in an intimate outdoor ceremony attended by their close friends and loved ones.
Their wedding was confirmed by Korean media outlets last Saturday, Nov. 18, although details about their ceremony have yet to be disclosed.
Sojin’s special day was also attended by her Girl’s Day bandmates, Hyeri, Minah, and Yura, where they appeared to be emotional over K-pop idol marrying the love of her life, as seen in their photos on social media.
Hyeri took to her Instagram account on Sunday, Nov. 19 to share glimpses of Sojin’s wedding, saying she gave a speech for the newlyweds during the ceremony.
“It feels like the day when I had so many emotions was just yesterday. But our unnie (or older sister) got married today,” she wrote. “Sojin unnie, who was the prettiest in the entire world. I congratulate you the most out of everyone on earth! You need to be happy.”

Minah said in a separate post that seeing Sojin get married made her recall the days where the latter “worked hard passionately” in her career.
“I was also happy to be able to see [Sojin] unnie looking happy. Now, I’ll yield our unnie to our brother-in-law. Sojin unnie, I truly congratulate you,” she added, per a Soompi translation.

Meanwhile, Yura hoped to “stay together forever” with her fellow Girl’s Day members even though Sojin married the actor.
“Our time together felt like a dream. Let’s stay together forever for the rest of our lives. I congratulate our beloved Sojin unnie on your marriage. I love you so much. My members, Ah-young loves you a lot,” she said, referring to herself using her birth name.

Girl’s Day, who’s best known for their songs “Something,” “Expectation,” and “Darling,” debuted as a five-piece act in July 2010 where Sojin and Minah were part of the original lineup. Two months later, Yura and Hyeri were added to the group after the departure of former members Jiin and Jisun.
Jihae, who was part of the original lineup, left in October 2012 due to personal reasons. The remaining members promoted as a four-piece act until their contracts with music label Dream T Entertainment expired in January 2019.
The South Korean agency, however, clarified that the girl group didn’t disband and it remains in hiatus, as of this writing. Since then, Sojin, Hyeri, Minah, and Yura are active in the entertainment industry in their chosen fields.
On the other hand, Lee is best known for his appearances in the K-dramas “Doctor Lawyer,” “The World of the Married,” and “Signal.”
