Eric Fructuoso confirmed that he and actress-TV host Toni Gonzaga had a relationship in the past, with the actor disclosing that they dated for almost three years.
The actor made this revelation during his guesting at the GMA morning talk show “Sarap ‘Di Ba?” last Nov. 11, in response to show host Carmina Villarroel’s question: “Totoo bang nagkarelasyon kayo noon ng TV host-actress na si Toni Gonzaga?”
(Is it true that you had a relationship with TV host-actress Toni Gonzaga?)
“Parang ‘di ko naexpect ‘yon ah… Oo, meron,” Fructuoso answered, adding that he dated Gonzaga after his relationship with actress Claudine Barretto. (I didn’t expect that but yes, we had [a relationship].)
When Villarroel further asked Fructuoso how long he and Gonzaga were together, he replied, “Siguro rough estimate—lahat-lahat kasama na ‘yung wala lang tsaka ‘yung may commitment—mga three, almost three years, mga gano’n.”
(My rough estimate—including when we were still unofficial to when we had a commitment—would be almost three years.)
Fructuoso then noted that he is not a “chick-boy” and that he loves sincerely, quipping that his past relationships only ended because his partners “woke up and realized the truth.”
Gonzaga, who is married to director Paul Soriano, has yet to publicly comment on Fructuoso’s revelation as of this writing.
