Jolina Magdangal-Escueta couldn’t seem to find the words to describe her happiness after she witnessed the northern lights in Alberta, Canada, where she and her family celebrated her 45th birthday.
The actress-TV host, her musician husband Mark Escueta and their children Pele and Vika were all smiles with the aurora borealis overhead, as seen on Magdangal’s Instagram page on Monday, Nov. 6.
“Sa mga susunod na araw na ako magkukwento kasi hanggang ngayon lutang pa ako sa pag-isip [na] ‘totoo ba talaga na nakita ko siya’?” she captioned her post, adding that she witnessed the natural light display for two consecutive nights.
(I’ll share stories in the next days because until now, I still ask myself, “Did I really witness [the northern lights]?”)
“Salamat Panginoon. Dami mo nang bonus sa mga wish ko,” she added. (Thank you, God. You have granted many of my wishes.)
In a separate post shared on the same day, the celebrity mom expressed her gratitude to everyone who remembered her special day and sent their greetings.
“Itong taon na ito ay na-experience ko ang dalawang birthday. Isang Pinas at Banff, Canada,” she stated. “Napakasaya ko. Itong trip namin na ito ay si Mark ang nagplano… Itong trip na ito ay isa sa magiging unforgettable para sa amin ni Mark at alam ko na magiging core memory ni Pele at Vika.”
(I experienced two birthdays this year—one in the Philippines and another one in Banff, Alberta, in Canada. I am so happy. Mark planned this trip, and I know this will be an unforgettable trip for us and a core memory for Pele and Vika.)
Magdangal and Escueta were married twice in November 2011—a church wedding on Nov. 19 and a garden wedding, two days after, on Nov. 21. The couple welcomed their firstborn Pele in 2014, and Vika in 2018.
