Michelle Dee assured fans that she is safe and that all is well amid rumors she got into an accident in El Salvador, where she’s currently at for the 2023 Miss Universe pageant.
The actress-beauty queen, who represents the Philippines in the competition, took to her X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday, Nov. 6, to give an update and dismiss such rumors.
“[I don’t know] where the rumor came from that I got into an accident but don’t believe it!” she wrote, opting not to expound on the misinformed claims. “We’re all good!”

Relieved Filipino fans then sent their well-wishes and expressed their support to Dee.
Meanwhile, Dee and her pageant sisters earlier toured Playa Maculis in El Salvador, as seen on Miss Universe Philippines’ Instagram page.
Dee is competing with over 80 other international delegates to inherit the crown from reigning queen R’Bonney Gabriel, a Filipino-American sustainable fashion designer and advocate from Texas.
The 2023 Miss Universe coronation night will be held on Nov. 18 (Nov. 19 in the Philippines).
