Alden Richards and Julia Montes have nothing but gratitude as they announced that their film “Five Breakups and a Romance” has earned over P50 million in gross sales three weeks after its release.
The actors announced their feat while showing a snap of them as their film characters Lance and Justine, via their respective Instagram pages on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
“Hindi po ito possible kung hindi dahil sa inyong suporta. Maraming maraming salamat po,” Richards said. (This is not possible without your support. Thank you so much.)
“Mula sa puso namin, maraming salamat po sa inyong supporta,” Montes, for her part, wrote. “Naibalik na ang pag-ibig (at luha) sa mga sinehan!” (From our hearts, thank you for your support. Love and tears have returned to the cinema!)
The comments section was filled with cheers and greetings from fans who also credited the team behind the film for its success.
“Five Breakups and a Romance,” helmed by director Irene Villamor, marks the first big screen team-up of Richards and Montes. The film follows the modern-day love story of Lance and Justine as they navigate to find the ideal midpoint between love and career.
