Bea Alonzo says Dominic Roque is worth fighting for
Bea Alonzo is confident that she found someone worth fighting for in her soon-to-be husband Dominic Roque, while stating that happy partners “can never be seduced” by anyone.
Alonzo made the declaration during a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on GMA Network’s YouTube channel which was uploaded last Wednesday, Oct. 25, when asked if she’s the type of person who will do anything to make a relationship work.
“As long as you have each other, malalagpasan niyo lahat. Kung mag-asawa na kayo, na-realize ko through the years na sa lahat naman ng pagkakataon, masasaktan ka (As long as you have each other, you can get through anything. If you’re married, I realized through the years that you will get hurt at some point),” she began.
“But you really have to find a person worth fighting for. Maybe I’ll fight for Dom,” she further added, referring to her fiancé using his nickname.
The actress then firmly said that she’s not the type to engage in heated confrontations with another woman who tried to get in the way of a happy relationship.

Kasi paulit-ulit sinasabi sakin ng nanay ko ever since bata ako (I guess I’ll confront Dom instead. I don’t pick fights with other women because my mom would always tell me since I was young), ‘You can never seduce a happy husband. If he’s happy, he can never be seduced.’”

While details of their wedding are yet to be disclosed, the actress said they will “definitely” get married sometime in 2024.
Commitment
During the interview with Abunda, Alonzo also hinted that there are certain people who have the tendency to be a womanizer although she didn’t address her remarks to anyone. “Unless may sakit na nga siya. May mga lalaki din namang ganon na mahilig lang talaga sila mambabae (Unless he has that malady. There are men who are really womanizers).”
“Pero ‘yung panghahawakan mo di ba kung may relasyon kayo, yung pangako niyo sa isa’t isa, yung commitment niyo sa isa’t isa (But when you’re in a relationship, you must fulfill your promises and commitment to one another),” she pointed out, saying that keeping a relationship intact falls on the couple’s shoulders.
“So sa kanya ka mag-rereklamo, dun sa taong binitawan ka ng pangako (So it’s better to direct your complaints to the person who gave you that promise),” she added.
The “Love Before Sunrise” star also hopes that the “love and respect” between her and Roque wouldn’t change even after they tied the knot.
“Sana yung respeto namin sa isa’t isa hindi magbago and siyempre yung pagmamahal (I hope the respect we have for one another, and of course, the love, wouldn’t change),” she said.
