David Licauco and Jak Roberto donned an almost identical Roronoa Zoro-inspired costume, while Alden Richards showed up as one of his movie characters at GMA’s Sparkle Spell halloween party.

Some of the biggest Kapuso stars showed up in their wacky Halloween costumes during the gathering, held at Xylo at The Palace in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City last Sunday, Oct. 22.

Licauco was included in the first set of stars to make an appearance on the black carpet, wearing the costume inspired by the “One Piece” character.

But Licauco seemed to have a meeting of mind with Roberto, who also chose to steal the green-haired pirate hunter’s look, complete with their swords.

In fact, so popular was the live-action adaption of the manga series that there was a third and fourth Kapuso stars who chose to appear as Zoro — Sandro Muhlach and Anthony Rosaldo.

Barbie Forteza, on the other hand, appeared in as Khaleesi / Daenerys Targaryen from “Game of Thrones,” also known as the Mother of Dragons, with her platinum blond locks.

Real-life sweethearts Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz coordinated their looks as Daphne Blake and Fred Jones, respectively, of “Scooby Doo.”

Rising star Gaea Mischa caused a stir in her colorful Filipiniana which is an ode to MJ Lastimosa’s national costume when she competed at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant.

Another scene-stealing costume was content creator Sassa Gurl with her funeral flowers-inspired Halloween costume.

The Barbie fever seems to be far from over as Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay took on the roles of zombified Barbie and Ken, where they even walked the red carpet in doll-like boxes.

“Voltes V: Legacy” stars Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Raphael Landicho, and Matt Lozano traded their signature space suits for costumes based on characters from the Disney film “Alice in Wonderland.” Tanfelix was on point as the Mad Hatter, Ortega as Alice, Lozano and Landicho as Twiddle-dee and Twiddle-dum, and Flores as the King of Hearts.

“Magandang Dilag” star and beauty queen Herlene Budol flaunted her curves in her Playboy Bunny costume.

Derrick Monasterio, meanwhile, showed off his trimmed abs as a Spartan warrior with no less than his black steed. His face though was barely recognizable with his metal headgear and shield.

In contrast to the elaborate costumes served by his contemporaries, Richards took the unconventional route with a no-costume costume — that of his “Five Break-ups and a Romance” character, Lance Sandoval, in plain fitted jeans and dark T-shirt with a dinosaur print.

At the end of the program, San Jose and Cruz were named the Most Fabulous Couple of the Night, while Pablo and Ansay bagged the Tiktok Crowd Favorite awards.

On the other hand, Tanfelix, Ortega, and Monasterio earned the Fabulously Scary Costumes of the Night and the Black Carpet Stunner awards, respectively. EDV
