Baron Geisler to take break from ‘Senior High’ due to film projects, not ‘delinquent behavior’—manager

Baron Geisler will “take a temporary break” from “Senior High” to focus on his two upcoming films, his manager Arnold Vegafria said in response to claims that he was removed from the cast because of his being allegedly drunk during filming.
Reports of Geisler’s alleged removal from “Senior High” emerged earlier this month, after showbiz writer Ogie Diaz claimed in his vlog that it was disclosed to him by an insider from the show’s production team.
In an official statement on his Instagram account, Vegafria denied that the actor was “terminated” from the show, adding that he would instead take a short break to make time for “one local [and] one international” film projects before returning to the Kapamilya youth series.
“Contrary to the misleading reports of some showbiz reporters, my talent Baron Geisler has not been terminated from his ABS-CBN teleserye project ‘Senior High’ because of his delinquent behavior,” he said.

The manager pointed out that Geisler was allowed by the producers to “take a temporary break” while noting how much he has changed “since his bad boy days.”
“I had the privilege of having a heart to heart talk with Baron recently and saw for myself how much he has reformed since his ‘bad boy’ days some years back,” he said. “He remains the same talented, world-class and award-winning actor that we all know.”
Vegafria also stressed that “baseless allegations” about the actor’s behavior should be put to an end, further stating that he “deserves a second chance.”
“Because of his inspiring story of redemption, I believe that he deserves a second chance—that’s why I didn’t hesitate to take him back under my management. I just hope that we can put an end to all these baseless allegations and refrain from making any unfair judgment until we validate the truth,” he said.
Geisler, on the other hand, took to his Facebook page to reshare his manager’s statement while clarifying in the comments that he had to “fix his schedules” to avoid “not burning bridges” with the involved parties.
“You may share this truth folks. Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. Yakap (hugs),” he wrote. “I am blessed that I get to do movies as well. Had to fix schedule plus not burning bridges in the process.”

The actor also confessed that he’s “glad” about not being the type of person to respond to “baseless issues” immediately.
“I’m grateful kay God na di na ako katulad ng dati na bigla na lang sasagot sa mga baseless issues (I’m grateful to God that I’m no longer the type of person who responds to baseless issues immediately). Guess I’m growing up slowly but surely. Work in progress,” he said.
Details about the actor’s upcoming films are yet to be disclosed, although he was confirmed as one of the cast members of the movie “GG” with Donny Pangilinan.
In September, Geisler made headlines after he was invited to the ABS-CBN Ball after a 14-year ban.
The actor previously spoke about his sobriety journey in a Philippine Daily Inquirer interview in October 2022, saying it had been “smooth most days.” /ra
