Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz and Boobay, who were caught in a government-imposed lockdown in war-torn Israel, safely returned to the Philippines on Monday, Oct. 9.
San Jose, Cruz and Boobay were supposed to stage their “Luv Trip Na, Laff Trip Pa” concert in Tel Aviv last Oct. 7, the same day the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel.
After the actors’ show was canceled, the trio were forced to stay in shelters as they waited for the airport in Israel to resume operations.
“Best news today! Thank God. [Julie Anne, Rayver and Boobay] safely back in [the Philippines]!” Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo said via her Instagram Stories while showing the actors at Clark International Airport. “Let us all continue to pray for Israel.”
