Seventeen’s Jun among big winners at 2023 Asia Content Awards & Global OTT Awards

Wen Junhui, also known as Jun of Seventeen, was named as one of the biggest winners at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, which was held at the Busan Cinema Center in Busan, South Korea last Oct. 8.

Jun bagged the Rising Star of the Year award for his performance in the Chinese drama “Exclusive Fairy Tale” which is an adaptation of the novel “Once We Come Across Love,” alongside Taiwanese actress Buffy Chen.

The Chinese singer-actor portrayed the role of Ling Chao who falls in love with his childhood friend Xiao Tu (Zhang Miao Yi), whom he considered as his only friend.

Following the awards ceremony, Jun took to Seventeen’s official X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude to fans for their support.

“I received this award thanks to Carats,” he said, referring to the K-pop boy group’s dedicated legion of fans. “Thank you to all Carats who supported me. Thank you. It’s an honor that Carats gave to me. I’ll keep working hard from now on.”

Jun, who was a former child actor, debuted as Seventeen’s lead dancer and vocalist in May 2015. He’s also part of the group’s Performance Team with Hoshi, The8, and Dino. He also released solo tracks such as “Psycho,” “Crow,” and “Silent Boarding Gate,” among others.
