LJ Reyes and her non-showbiz partner Philip Evangelista have finally got married at an intimate ceremony in New York, U.S.
Reyes and Evangelista’s wedding was witnessed by family and close friends, as seen on hairstylist Mark Baquiran-Esposito’s Instagram Stories on Sunday, Oct. 8.
The actress was seen wearing a simple, tube wedding dress while her husband donned a matching white tuxedo. The couple was spotted cutting their wedding cake in pictures shared by Baquiran-Esposito, who the bride considers to be one of her close friends.
The US-based content creator also shared a closer look at the reception ceremony, where the table was decorated with a white tablecloth, yellow and white flowers, candles, and silver cutlery.
Meanwhile, makeup artist Mikka Marcaida took to her Instagram account to share a photo of Reyes post-wedding, but clarified she was the one who did the actress’ makeup while Baquiran-Esposito did her hair for the ceremony.
The former Kapuso actress sported separate looks for her wedding: first, wearing a low chignon for the ceremony, and then with her hair stylishly swept to one side for the reception.
Pasig-based photography studio Nice Print Photography also shared the official portraits of Reyes and Evangelista as newlyweds, where they can be seen wrapping their arms around each other.
Further details about their wedding have yet to be announced, as of this writing.
Reyes announced her engagement to Evangelista last April, which happened to be the first time he made an appearance on her social media platforms. Months later, the actress’ partner assured that he would stand by her despite all the “chaos and the calmness.”
The actress is currently based in New York, U.S. with her children Summer Ayana and Aki since her controversial split with actor-comedian Paolo Contis in 2021. EDV
