Shaina Magdayao attends Busan International Film Fest, meets ‘Parasite’ star Song Kang-ho

Shaina Magdayao flew to South Korea to represent their film “Essential Truths of the Lake” at the 28th Busan International Film Festival.
The actress graced the event in a red beaded serpentine gown by Filipino designer Ehrran Montoya, as seen on her Instagram page on Thursday, Oct. 5. Magdayao attended the film festival with the movie’s producer, Bianca Balbuena.
Magdayao—whose film is part of the film festival’s Icons selection—documented her experience from walking the red carpet and meeting Korean actors including “Parasite” star Song Kang-ho and “Squid Game” actor Lee Byung-hun to attending the opening ceremony hosted by Park Eun-bin.

“Essential Truths of the Lake,” helmed by acclaimed director Lav Diaz, also represented the country in Switzerland’s Locarno Film Festival (LFF) 2023, wherein cast member John Lloyd Cruz bagged the Boccalino d’Oro prize (Golden Jug Award) for best actor. /ra
