K-drama shows have not only taken the Philippines but also the whole world by storm, usually finding themselves atop streaming platforms.

Due to the increasing popularity of over-the-top (OTT) streaming sites such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, and TVING, polling firm “Gallup Korea” has now included their most-watched programs into its monthly survey since the start of the year.

In the ever-evolving landscape of television, several standout series from the said streaming platforms have captured the hearts of viewers in September, even topping the survey.

As the month drew to a close, here are three of the OTT K-dramas that have firmly established themselves as fan favorites last month and can be your go-to series this fall.

‘Moving’

Disney+’s series “Moving” ranked first as the most favorite TV and video streaming program for September in South Korea, with a 5.2 percent rating. This marked a significant jump from its 17th place in August.

One of the most talked-about series in 2023, the drama starring K-drama stars Ryu Seung-ryong and Han Hyo-joo, has been moving hearts for its compelling storytelling and remarkable performances.


This heart-wrenching drama revolves around the lives of teenagers possessing extraordinary abilities as they battle some of the world’s most influential and powerful governments.

‘Mask Girl’

Securing the 11th spot is Netflix’s “Mask Girl” with 1.3 percent, up from 14th spot in August.

This webtoon-based series top-billed by Lee Han-byeol, Nana, Go Hyun-jung, Ahn Jae-hong, and Yeom Hye-ran, centers on an office worker, plagued by insecurities about her appearance, who transforms into a masked internet personality by night. However, her life takes an unforeseen and unfortunate turn due to a series of unexpected events.

‘The Killing Vote’

Prime Video’s “The Killing Vote” secured the 17th position with a one percent rating, marking its debut in the survey.
