Vina Morales couldn’t contain her excitement after making her “magical” Broadway debut with the role of Aurora Aquino in the musical “Here Lies Love.”
Morales took to her Instagram account last Friday, Sept. 22, where she expressed her excitement over having the privilege of calling herself as a Broadway actor. The post includes a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the actress’ during the show’s theatrical run.
“My Broadway debut was magical [emojis] You made it all magical. I am overwhelmed by the love and amazing reviews. I made it to Broadway! Yeay! A dream come [true] and another [check] on my bucket list,” she said.
While showing her excitement, the veteran singer thanked her fans and the musical’s production team — including theater actress Lea Salonga — for the support. It was Salonga who first took on the role of Aurora Aquino during its July to August run, and is one of the show’s producers.
“For those who were calling my name during the show. I can hear you, okay, and I am KILIG (giddy) but I can’t smile back and wave at you coz I am in character hehe. Sa concert na lang po ako mag hi sa inyo. Pero I’m kilig that you guys are cheering for me. Salamat po (I will just say hi to you in concert. But I’m excited that you guys are cheering for me. Thank you),” she claimed.
Morales then shared more photos of herself as Aurora in a separate post, where she donned a black gown, black arm warmers, and a black headdress.
“Aurora Aquino @herelieslovebway See you tonight on the dance floor! Let’s party tonight,” she said.
