MANILA, Philippines—It appears that the first-ever staging of The Miss Philippines Culture and Heritage Celebration and the second edition of the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide competition will hold their final contests at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The two searches’ social media accounts had posted an image declaring the final show on Oct. 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena, but it was later deleted. The final competition will headline the celebration of the first-ever “The Filipino Festival” next month.

Twenty-one delegates from all over the country and Filipino communities in the United States are competing in The Miss Philippines, while 17 Filipino gentlemen from here and abroad will slug it out in Mister Pilipinas Worldwide.

The candidates will serve as influencers who will promote Philippine culture and heritage, through The Filipino Festival’s various events—“The Filipino Food and Products Fest,” “The Filipino Music Fest,” “The Filipino Fashion Fest” and “The Filipino Film Fest.”

Both searches will have no swimwear competition on the final show, while Mister Pilipinas Worldwide will have no question-and-answer round.

The Miss Philippines will have a “red carpet moment” in lieu of the evening gown round, where the delegates may parade in any formal wear of their choice. They will also deliver Ted Talks-type speeches focused on Filipino culture and heritage.

The winner of The Miss Philippines will get the chance to represent the country in the 2024 Miss Supranational, 2024 Miss Asia Pacific International or 2025 Miss Charm pageant, while the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide winner will have the opportunity to participate in next year’s edition of Mister Supranational, Mister International, Manhunt International Male Supermodel, Mister Global or Mister Cosmopolitan.

Kemans is the presenting partner for both searches. The winners will each receive a Wuling mini electric vehicle and a custom-made trophy exclusively designed by Jef Albea.

Miss Supranational first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, proclaimed as the first titleholder of The Miss Philippines, and Mister Pilipinas Supranational Johannes Rissler will relinquish their national titles to their successors.

Organizers said they will later make another official announcement on the final competitions’ schedule. /ra
