Yassi Pressman wishes ex-fiancé Jon Semira well amid breakup

Yassi Pressman admitted that her separation from her ex-fiancé Jon Semira had been difficult for her, but reiterated that all is well between them and they still communicate with each other.
The actress opened up again about her previous relationship in a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on Thursday, Sept. 14, saying she would only share a short statement on the breakup as she respects Semira’s privacy.
“Unfortunately, it just didn’t really go that way pero at the end of the day, I value the time that I had with the person,” she told show host Abunda. “Lahat naman po ng may malaking naiambag sa buhay ko ay hindi ko makakalimutan.”
“What’s beautiful din po is that we still have a good talking relationship; we have businesses that we built together, and despite not going that way, I really still wish him the best and he wishes me the best as well,” she continued.
Abunda then said, “Any separation is difficult,” to which Pressman agreed, “Sobrang hirap.”
When asked what lesson she learned after the breakup, Pressman became teary-eyed and said she’s grateful for Semira for pushing her to go for her dreams.
“I think, you have to be honest with how you feel from inside because that’s what love is—not only love towards the person that you’re feeling for, but also love for yourself… So love yourself also while loving another person,” she spoke of the lesson she learned in the context of relationships.
Pressman also addressed during the interview her rumored romance with Camarines Sur Gov. Luigi Villafuerte, with the actress saying that she’s very happy whenever she spends time together with the politician.
“I don’t wanna put labels into anything anymore; I’m not rushing into anything anymore,” Pressman stated. “Parang kung saan na lang po talaga ako nagiging masaya kasi mahirap po talaga ‘yung pinagdaanan ko and now, feeling ko wherever I’m happy, I’ll stay there.”
Semira confirmed last Aug. 16 that “it has been a while” since his breakup with Pressman. He also dismissed speculations that there was a third party in their relationship, which apparently arose after videos of Villafuerte kissing Pressman on the cheek made rounds on social media. /ra
