Longtime friends Bela Padilla and Kim Chiu recently got together in Switzerland, as seen in the social media posts of the actresses.
The “It’s Showtime” mainstay uploaded a video of their heartwarming meet up at a train station, where both are seen running toward each other. As they shared a warm embrace, the encounter would, however, take a comical turn when Chiu’s luggage started rolling away.
With someone’s help, the Kapamilya star was able to retrieve her luggage and the two returned to their touching moment, with Padilla seemingly wiping off her tears as Chiu was jumping out of excitement.
“May sumundo sa’kin sa train station… Finally nagamit ko na din yung kantang ‘to (Someone picked me up at the train station… I finally got to use this song) by @jedmadelaofficial !!! [emojis],” wrote Chiu in her Instagram post’s caption, referring to Jed Madela’s cover of “Forevermore” which played in the background.
“[M]omsy @bela miss you sooo muchie !!!! Always here for you! [emojis] [P]ero ‘yung bag ko tumakbo din kasi eh (However, my bag ran off)!!! Wahahahaha,” she continued, alluding to her luggage’s runaway moment.
In an Instagram Story, the now UK-based actress-director shared the video and wrote, “‘Di ko alam kung mas namiss niya ‘ko or ‘yung bag niya (I don’t know if she missed me more or her bag). [emoji]”
The “Love Thy Woman” actress, on her Instagram Stories, shared some of their bonding moments, including a meal with Padilla’s Swiss-Italian boyfriend Norman Bay. In another Story, during a tram ride, the good friends had fun singing Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.”
Reflecting on her time with Chiu, Padilla, who recently starred opposite JC Santos in “Wish You Were the One,” shared that the laughing session with Chiu was “exactly what I needed.”
“So happy to share the last 24 hours with you @chinitaprincess you made me laugh more than I laughed the whole year and that’s exactly what I needed [emojis] missing you @iamangelicap [emoji],” expressed Padilla, as she tagged in her caption the third member of the AngBeKi trio, Angelica Panganiban.
The mom of one, who was visited in Subic by the pair earlier in the year, commented on Padilla’s post. “Love you both [nang] malala (so much) [emoji].”
Chiu also posted a Story of her being sent off by Padilla and Bay. She uploaded a pair of snaps with the couple and wrote, “Goodbyes are always the hardest! [emoji] thank you momsy @bela and @nocir [emoji].”
In an interview with Boy Abunda in 2017, the “Pinoy Big Brother” winner revealed that AngBeKi started at a birthday party, which she gate-crashed. She explained how she came to the party with Padilla — who was invited to the gathering — and saw Panganiban, with whom they would chat until the wee hours. EDV
