Gretchen Barretto surprises ‘sick, sad’ Claudine Barretto with tablet computer

Since Gretchen Barretto cannot visit her sick sister Claudine Barretto at the moment, the former made an effort to brighten up the latter by surprising her with a tablet computer.
Claudine expressed her appreciation for her sister and her kind gesture through the actress’ Instagram page on Monday, Sept. 4.
“Shoutout to my Ate Gretchen. Yay, [I have] a new iPad,” Claudine said, showing the tablet computer with pen and keyboard. “I’m sick and sad today and she just wanted to spoil me as always. Thank you, my Ate. I love you [so much].”

Claudine disclosed in a separate post that Gretchen cannot visit her because her condition is “contagious.” While the actress opted not to expound further on her health, she asked fans to include her recovery in their prayers.
“She can’t take care or visit me [because I’m] nakakahawa, so she surprised me with these instead. I’m not used to [being the person given with] gifts; it’s always me giving gifts, except my Ate Gretchen,” Claudine stated, adding that her older sister always showers her with presents.
“Thank you so much to my Ate. You’re the sweetest,” she added.

Just last May, Claudine was admitted to a hospital due to an undisclosed condition. At the time, the actress said she was just going through something and assured fans that there was nothing to worry about. /ra
