Mike Enriquez, one of GMA’s news pillars, was laid to rest on Sept. 3 at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City, with his loved ones, friends, and fellow journalists bidding their final farewell.
At about 1o a.m. after a mass, Enriquez’s remains were carried from the Christ the King Parish Church in Quezon City, where his casket was showered with white flower petals by his loved ones.
Before reaching the cemetery, Enriquez’s funeral convoy passed through his home in White Plains Subdivision in Quezon City, according to a Super Radyo DZBB report.

The broadcast journalist was finally brought to his final resting place at the Loyola Memorial Park, where he received a final send-off from his loved ones.
Enriquez died last Aug. 29 at 71, although the cause of death has yet to be disclosed, as of this writing. Prior to his death, he underwent a kidney transplant last year and a heart bypass procedure in 2018.
His wake, which was opened to the public last Sept. 2, was attended by fellow journalists Mel Tiangco, Jessica Soho, Karen Davila, Vicky Morales, and Bernadette Sembrano, among others. EDV
