Sharon Cuneta thanks Frankie Pangilinan for being ‘good daughter’: No headaches, no disrespect
Sharon Cuneta has been in an emotional state after her daughter Frankie Pangilinan, whom the Megastar described as a loving and “good daughter,” returned to the United States for her studies.
The veteran actress-singer dedicated a letter to Frankie, also fondly called Kakie, through an Instagram post on Monday, Aug. 28, in which Cuneta expressed her longing for her second child as she admitted tearing up while visiting the latter’s empty bedroom.
“I went to Yellie’s room after yours and asked her if she was okay,” Cuneta said, referring to her youngest daughter Miel Pangilian. “She hugged [and] kissed me [and] said she was. But I was crying and carrying a box of tissues so she was so sweet and comforting.”
Cuneta continued addressing Frankie, noting how she appreciates the latter for being “very malambing (affectionate) and loving” to her. Cuneta added how she values her bonding moments with Frankie, especially when they would just sit in the room and have a conversation.
“You and I are so much alike, though there’s some of Dad in you too. I’ve been blessed to have you [and] the ‘giants,'” the Megastar stated.

No headaches, no horror stories, no disrespect, no bad or sad anything?!” she stressed. “I must have done something right in my lifetime.”

“I respect you! I am so proud of the woman you have become and I will never stop praying for God to give you the best life [and] the perfect husband for you because you deserve only true happiness,” the veteran actress said. “In the meantime, get that degree already and come home to Mama, to us, for good.”
Concluding her post, the Megastar declared, “I cannot live without you. I love you with all of my heart. Thank you for being a good daughter. Thank you for loving me. I miss you terribly already.”

Cuneta’s open letter to Frankie, however, was greeted with mixed reactions from netizens who shared their sentiment in the comments section. Some admired the mother-and-daughter relationship, while others pointed out how the Megastar should have also considered what her eldest daughter, actress KC Concepcion, would feel after the veteran actress shared such a post.
It can be recalled that KC earlier appeared to have unfollowed her stepdad Kiko Pangilinan as well as Frankie on Instagram. This fueled rumors of misunderstanding between them, although they have yet to comment on the matter as of this writing.
Frankie, Miel and Miguel are Cuneta’s children with Kiko, while KC is the Megastar’s daughter with her ex-husband, actor Gabby Concepcion. /ra
