Elisse Joson admitted to getting some “maintenance” in order to keep herself youthful looking, adding that celebrities like her always aspire to look good and feel better.
Joson made the comment during a press conference for “Pira-Pirasong Pangarap,” the series that she is filming with Loisa Andalio, Charlie Dizon, and Alexa Ilacad. The female lead stars were asked if they went through any enhancement procedure.
“I think each one of us kasi, or lahat naman ng babae, maraming insecurities ‘yan especially (while) growing up, (when) in teenage years. And since pinasok namin ‘yung showbiz industry, talagang the tiniest detail, physically, mapi-pinpoint ito sa bawat isa,” she initially said.
(I think each, if not all women, suffer from many insecurities, especially while growing up. And since we are in the entertainment business, even the tiniest detail of our imperfections are magnified.)
That said, Joson said she herself has some “maintenance” procedures, or extraordinary beauty regimen, but declined to name what these were.
“I think bilang artista, or ako personally, I’ll just answer for myself, meron talagang maintenance na tinatawag diyan ang bawat artista na ang hirap naman ding isa-isahin. Kasi ‘di ba, insecurity nga po naming ‘yun? So, we know for ourselves na meron kamin ginawang maintenance or help para ma-achieve the confidence that we want to achieve,” she explained.
(As celebrities have this “maintenance” that they they keep going to cover their insecurities. there’s maintenance which celebrities call which is hard to point one by one. Because, it’s our insecurity, right? So, we know for ourselves that we did maintenance or help to achieve the confidence that we want to achieve).
“Ako, I have maintenance for myself na as a babae, as an artista, ginagawa ko,” she admitted. (Me, I have maintenance for myself as a woman, as an actress, which I do).
“Pira-Pirasong Pangarap” also stars KD Estrada, Ronnie Alonte, and Joseph Marco.
The series revolves around the complicated journey of long-lost sisters who were separated from one another at a very young age. The eldest sister, Diana (Dizon), makes it her life’s mission to reconnect with her sisters, no matter what it takes. However, their personal motives for their dreams, family, revenge, and money spiral into calamitous events that threaten to ruin their lives.
Directed by Raymund B. Ocampo and Roderick Lindayag and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, the series starts airing July 25 on the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, TFC, A2Z, and TV5. EDV
